Actress Sharon Angela plays the role of Rosalie Aprile. Rosalie Aprile was married to Jackie Aprile Sr. and they had two children, Jackie JR and Kelli. Richie Aprile was her brother-in-law.

Jackie Sr. and Tony Soprano, the boss of the mob in New Jersey, were close friends. So close that Tony promised him that he would keep his son Jackie JR. out of the Mafia business. Jackie died in the hospital as a result of cancer.

Jackie Sr. has often been unfaithful to her, but she had managed to deal with that, but when she decided to have an affair she could not forgive herself for it. She had the affair with a guy, Steve, whom she had met in the gym.

A couple of years passed after her husband’s death and Rosalie and Ralph Cifaretto started a relationship. However this relationship was not to her son Jackie’s advantage. Jackie was struggling to stay on the lawful side of the law, but when Ralph entered his life he only pulled him back into the life of crime. He would also tell him about the heist that his father used to pull off. So after hearing about a heist that his father had pulled off, Jackie decided that he wanted to carry out a heist on a card game where Silvio Dante and Christopher Moltisanti was present.

Everything went wrong with this heist and it forced Jackie into hiding. When Tony Soprano found out where he was, he placed the ball into Ralph’s court and told him to deal with Jackie. Ralph then ordered Vito Spatafore to kill him. Rosalie and everyone who was interested in knowing how Jackie had died were told that drug dealers had killed him.

Rosalie took Jackie’s death very hard and to add to that her close friend Karen Baccalieri also died in a car accident. This only pushed her farther down the road of despair. It was during her period of mourning that Ralph decided that to end their relationship.

Rosalie and Carmela, Tony Soprano’s wife and most of the wives of Mafia leaders, are close friends and Rosalie is known for speaking her mind whenever Carmela asks for her opinion. At one point she told Carmela to deal with AJ firmly because if she doesn’t AJ may end up on the same road that her son had ended up on.

She also advice Carmela to keep away from having any affair while she is a married woman, because she knew from experience that it is never worth it. Some time passed after he her son and friend’s death and Rosalie decided to take a trip with Carmela to Paris. While there she entered a church and lit some candles for her husband and her son. She also met a younger man named Michel and for a short period they were in a relationship.

Sharon Angela has also acted in On The Run, Law and Order Criminal Intent and The Collection, (which she also co-wrote) just to name a few.
