Johnny Sacromoni
Johnny Sacromoni Johnny Sacromoni

Actor Carmine Lupertazzi plays the role of Johnny Sacromoni who is better known as Johnny Sack. Johnny is married to Ginny and they have two daughters, Allegra and Catherine. Johnny loves his family and he is particular protective of his wife when it comes to her weight. Ginny struggles with her weight and at time she is talked and joked about by others. Whenever Johnny hears anyone making fun of her and her weight Johnny usually looses it.

When Sacks found out from Walnuts that Ralph Cifaretto had made fun of his wife’s weight he did not take it too nicely. He responded by putting a hit out on Ralph. However, when he would later calm down, he called off the hit.

Johnny Sack is the boss of the New York organization of the Mafia and he is also the owner of a construction company. Carmine Lupertazzi Sr. was the previous boss, but after he died from a stroke Johnny Sack took over. He did so making it clear to everyone that if anyone stood in his way he was ready to take that person down and that’s exactly what he did.

Johnny Sack is mostly a calm and a well-informed guy that many have thought twice before going up against him. For example, when he had wanted to take over the New York organization from Carmine Sr. he sought out help from Tony Soprano, the present boss of the New Jersey Mafia organization. Tony agreed to help, but before the hit was carried out, Tony changed his mind. To say the least Johnny Sack was not too happy about that.

Paulie “Walnuts” Gualtieri was not happy with the way in which things were going within the New Jersey organization, so when Johnny sacks befriended him (Walnuts was in jail at the time) he was all too willing to talk with him. Johnny Sack was using him though. He was using him to get information about what was happening within the New Jersey’s organization. Apart from the information about his wife Ginny, at least twice he was able to get valuable information from him.

However his term as boss did not lasted very long because shortly after taking over, the FBI stepped in and arrested him. It also happened that while he was behind bars his daughter was getting married. He wanted to attend the wedding and he was granted permission by the courts to do so, however, he had to pay for all the expenses that would be involved in getting him there. So he accepted the terms, even though his cash till was not overflowing.

While he was in jail Johnny Sack tried to maintain the position of the boss while he allowed Phil Leotardo to be the acting boss, however, he could not maintain the control. He also pleaded guilty to the charges that were brought against him.

Vincent Curatola was born on the16th August 1953 in Englewood New Jersey. He has also acted in the shows Law and Order and Third Watch.
