Jackie Aprile JR.
Jackie Aprile JR.

Actor James Cerbone plays the role of Giacomo Michael Aprile JR whom was better known, as Jackie JR. His father Jackie Sr. was a very good friend of Tony Soprano the mob boss in New Jersey. So good friends indeed that Tony made a promise to him that he would not allow his son to walk down the criminal side of the law. His father did not wanted him to be a part of the criminal side of their family life.

However after his father’s death, only to be followed by his uncle Richie Aprile being released from the Rahway Penitentiary after serving ten years, did he became involved in the criminal side of his family business.

Richie Aprile was known for his notorious ways and his uncle allowed him to be a part of his business. When his uncle was unexpectedly killed, he returned to his law-abiding life. He didn’t know that his uncle was killed by his fiancée though.

So after a period of keeping within the law, bad influence in the form of his mother’s boyfriend Ralf Cifaretto returned to his life.

He was also involved with Tony’s daughter, Meadow Soprano. So when he was once again walking the crime road, he tried to deceive Tony into thinking that he was an upstanding citizen. He would latter drop out of Rutgers University where he was attending. When Tony heard about this he was not too please but things for Jackie JR. only grew worst.

Tony caught him in a strip club with a striper. At that point Tony had had enough of his behaviour and he gives him a beating in the bathroom of the night-club.

Jackie JR. did not pull away from this life of crime instead he went deeper and deeper into it. Still he did not carry much weight as a criminal. To enhance his position he decided to pull off a heist at a card game where men such as Furio Giunta and Christopher Moltisanti were present.

When Jackie JR and his friends got to the card playing location, everything went wrong. One of his friends was killed and he went into hiding. When he was in hiding, he sought out help from Tony.

Tony gives the order to Ralph Cifaretto to take him out. Ralph then give the order to Vito Spatafore and Vito laid in wait for him to come out of his hiding place in Boonton Projects. The moment that Vito saw him he went after him and in excursion style, he shot him in the back of his head.

When Meadow, even though she had broken up with him heard that he was killed, it took a terrible toll on her personality. She was not told though that her father was directly responsible, so to speak, for his death. She was told that drugs dealers had killed him.
