Gloria is the woman with whom Tony Soprano was having an affair. This relationship did not lasted very long though, but it was unlike any relationship that Tony was ever involved in.

She knew just what to do and say to make Tony melt, at least to a certain degree, into her arms. She was beautiful and she was not lacking in the common sense area either. Gloria worked at the Globe Mercedes and she held the position as one of the leading sales rep there.

She was an independent woman and she was mostly ruled by her intuition.

Once, this same intuition motivated her to arrange a meeting with Tony at the Zoo. When Tony got there she proceeded to make sexual advances on him, right in the reptile’s area of the zoo.

In addition to her beautiful and fun loving side, she was also suffering from a serious case of depression. Once when was “caught” by Tony in the waiting room of Dr. Melfi office. This depression was mainly due to the many failed relationships that she had been involved in. So she was being treated for this severe form of depression. Her relationship with Tony was not making this condition any better. In fact it would later push her over the edge. It pushed her in a way that no other relationship had ever been able to do before. Yet at the same time it was like the case of the last straw breaking the camel’s back.

Things between Tony and herself begun to change because not only was she being ruled by her impulse, she was also being ruled by jealousy. She started to make demands on him. She told him that she was going to call his wife Carmela. This didn’t came over too well with Tony.

They were in the kitchen at the time of this statement and the feelings that she brought up within him at that point in time was not affections for her. It was murder. Tony grabbed hold of her neck and begun to choke the life out of her. They both ended up on the kitchen floor, with his hands still around her neck, but he did not go through with his intent. Gloria spit into his face, as she demanded that he kill her. He didn’t go through with it though. To say the least, the two of them broke up and that was the end of the chapter in her life in a relationship with a mob boss.

A few months passed after that incident when Gloria decided to take her own life. She used a chandelier to hang herself from. Gloria took her own life without leaving a letter to explain why she did it.
