Andrea Donna (Drea) de Matteo plays the role of the beautiful Adriana La Cerva. Adriana is the niece of Richie and Jackie Aprile, so the mobster lifestyle is nothing new to her. So being engaged to Christopher Moltisanti, who is played by actor Michael Imperioli, is for her, a dream come through. That dream however came with a price.

The FBI approached her for information about the mob and naturally she resisted them at first; because after all, she didn’t had any information that they could really use. Eventually though she agreed to the Feds terms, she agreed to be an informant for them.

Where her health was concern this arrangement was not working out too well, because shortly after she decided to work with the Feds she was diagnosed with a digestive disorder. On the jealous side though this arrangement did help her with one problem and that problem was Tina Francesco.

When Tina, who also happens to be her best friend, would not stop making advances on her fiancé Christopher, she reported her to the FBI. She told them that she was an embezzler.

Once, after drinking one too many glasses of wine she almost confesses to Carmela about what she and the Feds had been up to. Carmela of all people, Carmela is the wife of Tony Soprano.

The Feds then later demanded that she persuade her fiancé to turn against the mob by going over to their side. If she didn’t persuaded him she and he would be making the prison their home for the next five or so years. Drugs charges would be brought against them. This treat, or promise, depending on how you’re looking at it, was not too appealing to her.

So one night when the perfect opportunity arrived for her to talk with Christopher about her dealings with the FBI, at least that’s what she thought. So she told him everything and to her dismay after she told him everything, Christopher almost strangled her with his bare hands.

Not too long after that night, Adriana received a telephone call from Tony. Tony claimed that Christopher had tried to kill himself and he was now in the hospital. So she agreed to allow someone to take her to him.

When Silvio arrived to take her to the “hospital”, she was taken to a shaded area in the woods. There she was shot twice as she tried to get away from Silvio.

Drea de Matteo was born in Queens, New York on the 19th January 1973. The 5’6” actress was also the owner of a clothing store called the Filth Mart. Filth Mart was located in Manhattan, New York.

In addition to The Sopranos, she has also appeared as Gina, the sister of Joey Tribbiani on the sitcom Joey. She has also acted in Swordfish and Assault on Precinct 13.

Drea de Matteo has also won an award in 2004 for Best Supporting Actress for her role in this show, The Sopranos.
